Cooking everyday is something we do back in the Philippines. Not just once but thrice or more. Yes, we cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner and sometimes, snacks. I grew up eating freshly cooked meal. We don’t have fridge, nor microwave that is probably why, they need to cook all the time. My mom is a busy mother but she always manage to feed us proper breakfast. When I moved to my grandparents house when my father died, my grandma or my Aunt  always cook breakfast too and never let me leave for school without anything in my stomach. We may not be rich but I grew up like that and made me realized hey I am rich! Rich with loving relatives.12047699_914155175342753_316491862_n

I must admit, I hate cooking! I was asked to cook several times when I was younger  but I never enjoyed it, not until my family and I moved to America and have to learn how to cook or my family will either end up broke eating out or starve to death! I can’t really say I am a good cook now, I am still in the process of learning. But I am proud to say I can cook without looking at the internet/recipe now, and can even make up my own recipe (wink! wink!). My husband seemed gaining weight by eating too much (thank  goodness, he is doing some exercises now!), my kids are not complaining except when you give them vegetables (LOL) so evidently I am doing an OKAY job. (what do you think?)  I am not gonna hide how proud I am to myself. I never imagined myself cooking dishes that I always thought was hard to make. I am hoping to expand my knowledge and learn more recipes. NO,  I still don’t love cooking but I do it for my family and will do it forever coz I LOVE watching them eat and enjoy what they are eating!

So lately, I am breaking out with so itchy and irritating eczema all over my hands. Being a stay at home mom and all is very hard for me these past few months. Everytime I wash, my hands are getting dryer and dryer and if I use gloves, they are going to start to itch. I have limited options, I know I am supposed to look for gloves that is cotton inside but I can’t find any til now or I just don’t know where ot look. It’s been literrally  and figuratively rough for me this year, thanks to my husband that stepped up and decided to do the things I can’t do as much as he can. After work, he’s helping me with the dishes. During weekends, he’s chopping ingredients that I will be needing to cook for our daily foods. I am just proud to tell everybody how special how I feel. Especially when we have to attend a “seafood” party and you know when you eat seafoods like crab and shrimp, it’s better to use your hands. Unfortunately that means, I can’t and I feel so loved and “turned on” when my husband did it all for me and I was like a queen for that moment. It’s good to sometimes being spoiled. I loved it.

Ofcourse I don’t wanna him doing all these things everyday instead of just relaxing after a long day at work. I want him to relax too so the least I could do is give him tools to make things easier and faster like food processor and my newest is this Professional Garlic Press and Silicone Tube Peeler. Garlic is so hard to manually peel then press. With this baby, we just have to press it and the skin will be easier to remove.  This way, he don’t need more time to do it. One more thing I love about it aside from being easy to use, it’s also easy to clean and store. An affordable and very useful tool in the kitchen indeed!

So now even my husband is doing it all atleast once a week, he still can even give me a massage after helping me in the kitchen. Who doesn’t love that? I am indeed a lucky woman!

Healthy body needs healthy diet and ofcourse  regular exercise!

Aside from Zumba, Barre and TRX, Yoga is also one of my favorite form of exercise. Not just good for the body but also for our mind.

If you are planning to attend yoga in the future, make sure to choose the right mat. Proper mat will enable you to do the poses correctly and without hurting your knees with poses that requires you to kneel. When I first started yoga, I struggled mostly with the “down dog” pose coz my hands keep on slipping off the mat. It’s hard to concentrate when something like this happens.

With this new Cloud Yoga Mat, I honestly can do ‘down dog’ (see photo above) and other pose without struggling. I wish someone can take my pic in the gym while doing yoga but everyone is calm and quiet so I can’t share photos of me in action. But I’m sure you can imagine what I’m talking about.

The description of this product are true fact! It will never disappoint you.

My favorite about this mat is that, it’s thicker than usual – it’s 8mm thick and very soft.   I can kneel comfortably now and do the poses without modifying it.

Here are some photos of the mat. Hope you enjoyed this review and helped my fellow consumer.

Extra long 76″ (6′ 4″)

I am thinking if I really need to buy a kitchen processor, I love to make shake for my kids but I don’t have it. We have a food processor back in out country I broke it twice. I don’t have any choice but to buy again coz there are no kitchenaid food processor parts sold in any store that time. Food processor is not that expensive so I guess It’s okay to buy a new one than buying a parts and have it fix.  I saw this 2 in 1 food processor for sale online and I wanted to buy it. But since my main objective is to make a fruit shake, just thinking carefully if I really need it or not. A blender or a food processor?

Base on what I read there are top ten ways to use a food processor:

 1. Puréeing Soups and Sauces

2. Preparing Salsas, Pestos, Dips, and Spreads

3. Grinding Meat

4. Grinding Nuts

5. Making Nut Butter

6. Grinding Flour

7. Making Pasta and Pizza Dough

8. Making Homemade Mayonnaise

9. Making Bread Crumbs and Cookie Crumb

10. Shredding Cheese

Food processor has plenty of things to do but all I need is to make a shake so I guess buying a food processor is too much. But if they have almost the same price then I’ll go with food processor.

Have you ever experience baking or cooking then suddenly you find out that your lack of ingredients? How’d you manage to work with it? Of course, cooking a dish or baking a pastries lack of ingredients won’t make your output perfect, thus completing the needed ingredients should be prepared. That’s why owning a motorcycle or even a bike for easy going to markets are perfect to have. Make sure that you do have your motorcycle helmets too for protection purposes. Not just for lack of ingredients motorcycle is perfect for but of course, for some instances or emergency needed too!

Riding a horse is one of the best activities a family could have during family day. And so, it is really nice to get along with our family in an activity that both of you would have fun and enjoy the rest of the day together. Isn’t that great that you don’t just have fun but of course, you have learned a lot about the said activity too-  on why do we need to wear outfits like jodhpurs jodhpurs instead of ordinary pants and so much more?  Thus, it does not just bring fun and enjoyment to your family but as well, it teaches us a lesson too.

Are you eating corned beef? What brand?

You know my husband loves corned beef, I remember when were still in college, we used to eat corned beef when we were in my house and even in their house. When we were with friends, he used to request corned beef too. He’s first favorite brand was argentina corned beef then change into CDO and Purefoods. When we got married, he still love corned beef and so with our kids. Ask my kids what they want to eat and they will answer corned beef. See, like father like kids eh? If cravings is one of tha basis for a paternity test the they are perfectly match! Hahahahahah! Sadly, we haven’t have any stock for more than a month now. We are not buying from walmart because my kids will surely not like it. They don’t like ‘imported’ when we were in our country. The Pinoy Store doesn’t have their stock last time so we were trying our luck this week to look for a pinoy corned beef 😀

Before we arrived here, husband made sure we have everything we need at home. He shopped for some bedroom stuff like bed sheets, comforter, pillow and their cases and a blanket. He also shopped for kitchen wares like out pot and pan, spoon and forks, plates, bowl and platters, some glasses and cups and more utensils at Sabatier Knives – www.crosbys.co.uk . When we arrived everything was set. Good thing he rented a ‘fully furnished’ apartment where you don’t need to shop for appliances. But anyway buying appliances here is easy if you have the budget, transporting big appliances  are easy because they can just ship it directly to your home using their  trucks. Don’t worry about them coz they have their own houston truck accident attorney. Just mind the buying, and the payment of what you’ve ask to deliver. But you know boys right, they don’t want a very complicated things so he chose to have a fully furnished apartment among any other options he have.
